Alternatives Counseling Inc

Alternatives Counseling, Inc. is a program designed to help individuals who are suffering from alcohol or drug abuse and its related problems.  Our treatment program consists of group therapy and substance abuse education.  We also offer counseling for individuals and family members.

Alternatives Counseling, Inc. is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to provide substance abuse treatment to adolescents and adults.  We are also a licensed DWI treatment provider.

Alternatives Counseling, Inc. offers substance abuse services to both adults and adolescents.  The following are the available services:

  - DWI Assessments and Treatment

  - Court Referred Assessments and Treatment

  - Substance Abuse Assessments and Treatment

  - Criminal Justice Partnership Program

  - Individual Counseling

  - Group Therapy

  - Underage Drinking Program

  - EMDR

  - Family Counseling 

  - Inpatient treatment referrals

 Substance Abuse Treatment Groups:

  - Short-term treatment program  consists of no less than 20 hours of outpatient substance abuse treatment group in no less than 30 days.

  - Long-term treatment program consists of no less than 40 hours of outpatient substance abuse treatment group in no less than 60 days.

 - Intensive outpatient treatment program consists of no less than 90 hours of outpatient substance abuse treatment group in no less than 90 days.

 - Continuing Care Program consists of no less than 90 days of outpatient group upon discharge from residential substance abuse treatment.
